Electric vans

Benefits of electric vans

Your LCV fleet

Light commercial vehicles (LCVs) have the same fundamental benefits as cars when considering ultra-low emission models; reduced tailpipe emissions, fuel costs, maintenance costs, taxation, and the Government Grants.

Project a positive image

Commercial vehicles can be a moving bill board and play a significant part in promoting the company’s sustainability strategy. A clear statement of your brands environmental credentials.

Technology available

At present there are more limitations for LCVs. There are a few models available that run on gas or hydrogen, but essentially the only real alternative to diesel is pure electric.

Load considerations

LCVs have additional operational elements to consider. Some electric vans will have reduced payloads due to the battery weight and maybe limitations on load space too.

Charging considerations

Consideration will be needed for overnight (or off duty) depot/ site charging facilities. If vehicles are taken home by drivers then domestic home charging solutions may also be required.

City centre operations

With London’s Ultra Low Emission Zone, and numerous Clean Air Zones in place across the country and more being proposed, zero emission vehicles could provide significant cost benefits going forwards.
